Explain the purpose of your visit
Describe the planned hospital visit and accompanying arrangements accurately to the responsible visa authority. Ask which category and supporting documents apply to your situation; do not assume that a general travel itinerary is sufficient.
Confirm hospital documents in advance
If the authority asks for an appointment confirmation, invitation or other hospital document, ask the hospital whether it can provide it and in what format. A coordination enquiry is not an invitation letter or a visa approval.
Keep the timeline flexible
Check permitted stay, passport validity requirements, processing steps and whether an accompanying person needs a separate application. Leave time for changes to the hospital appointment. Verify current rules directly with the responsible authority.
