Read the current information from the Chinese Visa Application Service Center or the Chinese mission responsible for your application. Explain your hospital visit and companions and ask which category applies.
Ask about hospital documents early
If appointment confirmation or an invitation is needed, ask the hospital whether it can issue it and in which format. An enquiry, an appointment and visa approval are separate steps.
Allow room for changes
Check processing times, stay conditions, passport rules and separate applications for companions. Obtain applicable confirmations before making non-refundable arrangements.
